IRCA - NELLORE

• Nirupama –Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts- Nellore:

Health Care & Social Welfare Society established ‘Nirupama IRCA’ (Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts) at D.No. 24-2-129, Opp. Telugu Baptist Church, Batwadipalem, Nellore-524003. The area of operation is vulnerable areas of Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh asit is the only IRCA functioning in the District. Nirupama IRCA established with a social cause for the welfare of poor and vulnerable communities, those who are suffering from addiction.

Monthly 15 inpatient and 60 outpatient clients have been treating in this center. The Organization is conducting 5 awareness camps every month for the purpose of screening, assessment, and inpatient treatment for addiction. For the inpatient clients providing psychological counseling, Family Counseling, Group Therapy and follow up programs regularly.

The follow up programs including clients visits by counselors, phone calls, and letters and AA gatherings. At Nellore the HCSWS organized one AA Association for this purpose.   For the purpose of whole person recovery the center facilitating the case management program with linkage and references also.  The organization is implementing the program by way of its own funds by collecting member’s contributions and donations.
